Live & Die*

I just really needed to pass this song along to all of you. The Avett Brothers have, over the years, become one of my favorite bands. They are easily up there in the top five. Their  music has definitely evolved over the years into something much more so I was excited when NPR Music had their new album up for streaming before it comes out. My ears have never been happier. And I love this personal, live version of "Live & Die."

I promise that I am getting no gain from posting this -- I just really love their music that much and I completely support you heading over to NPR and taking a listen. The whole album is hauntingly beautiful. Do it. You won't regret it.

Call Me Maybe: Marine Style

I am a sucker for cleverly done videos by people who are bored and have absolutely nothing better to do [and I maintain that the one done by all those fabulous gay boys to Miley Cyrus's Party In The USA is still my absolute favorite!]

This one is definitely up there at the top. Done by a USO branch in Afghanistan, it's a very clever video done to a very popular song. One that I, for whatever reason, have not gotten sick of yet!

Enjoy!

Best Marriage Proposal Ever*

I am a huge, huge sucker for awesome wedding/proposal videos. I am most definitely NOT creative enough to ever come up with anything like this, so I completely applaud anyone who can. This one? I still love watching this one. [Which, coincidentally, the couple that owns that dance video started taking donations in honor of domestic violence, since it's a Chris Brown song, and have done incredibly well raising money. Over $34,000 in fact. You can check out their website here.]

This one is equally as awesome and because I'm a little emotional this week, instantly brought tears to my eyes. I cried through the whole thing. Because I'm cool like that. ENJOY!

Gotye*

I'm working on a blog post that I HOPE to have up later today [it's taking me a while to write it, thanks to the little man. How do mommy bloggers do it with a newborn??] but I had to share this video for the time being. If you have not heard of Gotye, you must definitely check him out.

I am obsessed with this guy's voice & his album! His voice [and this video] remind me a little of Peter Gabriel. I've been listening to his album for the past couple of days ... it's catchy & fun, and definitely a must listen! Check him out!

Linkin Park Does Adele*

I know this video has been making the rounds for a little while now, and I am totally late on posting this. But, if you haven't seen it then you must check it out. I happen to LOVE Linkin Park & have for many, many, MANY years! My love for Mike Shinoda runs deep. And, well, Adele is awesome. There's no way around it.

So, this cover is the best of both worlds. These two bands very much have different followers, and it's amazing that these two worlds have collided and transcended together. This is an excellent cover! Enjoy :)

Clomid Confusion*

This month cannot go any slower.

As far as I know, we are in the 2ww, but I'm not totally 100% positive on that one. I've been doing OPK's for the past week and my frustration keeps rising. I THINK there was some change or maybe an indication of an LH surge on cd10 ... TEN! That's so early!

But I'm not totally positive if that was actually it.

So I have no idea what's going on.

I switched up the OPK's for the week [hello, smiley face!] so we will see if anything pops up in the coming days. I've heard so many mixed reactions to OPK's during a clomid cycle -- that they work, that they don't work, etc -- so who freaking knows. Either way, it's annoying.

In other news, my darling husband took our deck apart this weekend so that we could build a patio instead. And SURPRISE -- we found SO. MUCH. DAMAGE. Rotting wood, water damage, everything that you can think of on that side of the house. M has a phone appointment with our insurance company to see what they will or won't cover. It's only on the one side of the house, and the reason is because they don't put GUTTERS on the homes here. So for years, all the water from rain was coming off the roof and just sitting on the deck, seeping into the wood underneath the house. We put gutters on last year, but obviously it was too late. Luckily the damage is only on one side.

We're also going to get a siding quote, since so much of the siding is rotten underneath where the deck was. So even if fixing the water damaged wood wasn't going to be expensive, then the siding will be. We're kind of at the point where we are going to have to take out a loan regardless, so we might take out a little extra and do some other much needed upgrades [like the windows].

Who knows.

So that's that!

With that said, this was the closing song from last night's episode of Big Love. I LOVED that show the entire time it was on & am so sad to see it go. I also love Natalie Maines & love this song. Love all around! I will definitely be purchasing this on iTunes tonight! Enjoy!

Pregnant Women Are Smug*

Ok I don't REALLY feel that way [all the time, at least] but this has been one of my favorite song/videos since I was introduced to it a while back. I have since become quite the fan of this duo, as they are seriously hilarious. But this song in particular sums up exactly how I have felt this week.

Enjoy.

Gravity

Sara Bareilles has a new album out that you must must must check out. She is one of my favorite newer artists, and her last album was one that stayed in constant rotation for quite some time. In fact, it is still one of my favorite "go to" albums. Her new album is equally fantastic, and worth the pennies you will spend to pick it up.

This is, perhaps, my most favorite song of hers. So beautiful with so many meanings. Enjoy.
